*LeLu* asked: PLEASE read i have listed all that’s available to stop teens getting pregnant, i don’t believe there is an excuse not to be safe. (at least in England it is, i don’t know whats available to American teens)
the UK has the highest teen pregnancy rate in Europe! that’s disgusting and here is whats available to teens all CONFIDENTIALLY and COMPLETELY FREE!!!! from any age!
Doctor = all contraception free!!! Condoms, IUD, injection, implant, the pill etc…
Family planning clinic = all contraception free!!! Condoms, IUD, injection, implant, the pill etc…
Brook sexual health clinic = all contraception free!!! Condoms, IUD, injection, implant, the pill etc…
school = free condoms
NHS drop in center’s (like a small ER they are everywhere!) = all contraception free!!! Condoms, IUD, injection, implant, the pill etc…
The morning after pill (plan B) is available over the counter to anyone any age at ANY pharmacy!
these places are everywhere! there is no way a teen cant get to one of these places on there own!
sex education is given by:
School
Sex advice line (free number)
Family planning
Brook sexual health clinic
magazines (loads of articles in teen mag’s about safe sex)
please (i would understand the odd teen getting pregnant from failed contraception (THIS is not aimed at the FEW of you) but the amount of pregnant teens there are from “failed” contraception would mean that condoms would be pulled off the market they are so apparently uneffective!
cupcake, if your answer is accurate (which i dont see why it wouldnt be) then i understand more now when it comes to America. here we can give great thanks to our NHS system for that! just that teens dont seem to care they have all this to HELP them be safe
im 21 to and highschool made us all well aware of whats out there and if not all the posters in the doctors office told you, in EVERY teen mag there are adverts for all these things AND its easy to find these things on the internet!
im sorry but i believe it is my business when all my tax money is going to supporting teens in council housing and all the free contraception that is going to waste and all the extra teen births the hospitals have to take on and waste our money on because teens shouldnt be having babies. not to even get into all the benefits they get!!! why should i pay for all this, when the money could go to helping clean our hospitals (you know thats a huge issue here) or go to schools or making our towns nicer! anything for the community not just a single person who doesnt deserve all the free money
BTW im in my 3rd year of Midwifery at the university of Manchester, i know to much on this topic!
