In order to cure your headache, first identity your resources. Do you have any medicine that can alleviate your headache? Look for medicines such as ibuprofen, advil, tylennol, etc.

Next, once you’ve found the right medicine to help alleviate your headache, grab a cup of water. Read the label of the medication carefully. Find the correct dosage of ibuprofen, tylennol, etc. for your age and size. Most dosages are usually 1 or 2 pills. Take a sip of water, drop the pills, and then swallow altogether. Drink the rest of the water. Your headache should slowly go away in about half an hour.

Step3

Next, find an area that is comfortable. This can be your bed or a room that is dark and quiet. Turn on the air conditioner and relax. Your headache will subside soon. From personal experience, I find that lying flat on my back helps me to relax the most.

Step4

If you do not have any medication at home, simply turn off the lights in your home, crank up the air conditioner, drink lots of water, and lie down to relax. This will also help alleviate your headache, but it will take a bit longer since you are not taking any medication to speed up the process.

Step5

If you are not at the comfort of your house during a major headache, one of the best strategies in combating headaches is by finding a place that you call your own like a favorite restaurant, park, etc. Rest there for a couple minutes and try to refrain from speaking to others. Let this be a moment for you to just relax and get some fresh air to help alleviate your headache. Then, go get a nice, cold drink and resume your daily activities. Although this might not help cure your headache, it can definitely make a big difference in feeling better.

Nausea, vomiting, severe sensitivity to light and sound may accompany a migraine as well. The pain and other symptoms that result can leave a person unable to function normally for several hours or even days.

While the exact cause of headaches is unknown, there are some common triggers that have been discovered.
